LINKEDROP ("we", "us", "our") operates the LINKEDROP mobile application. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use our app and related services. By using LINKEDROP, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use LINKEDROP, and information received from third-party services you choose to connect.
- Account information you provide (see Section 3).
- Media URLs you submit for processing (see Section 4).
- Download history associated with your account (see Section 5).
- Social account information, if you connect one (see Section 6).
- Basic device and technical information (see Section 7).
3. Account information
If you create a LINKEDROP account, we may store:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile image (if you provide one)
- Credentials and authentication information required to sign you in
We do not state here how passwords are stored unless this is confirmed by the actual implementation.
4. Media URLs you submit
When you submit a media URL in LINKEDROP, our backend server processes that URL to identify available media formats. The URL and related processing information may be stored on the server to provide the service, prevent abuse, and maintain your download history.
The actual media file you download is saved on your own device. The server may process and temporarily stream media during download. Temporary server-side processing files are cleaned up when processing is complete where applicable.
5. Download history
LINKEDROP may keep a history of your downloads in your account. Depending on the download, history entries may include:
- Original URL and platform
- Media type, title and thumbnail
- File name, content type, file size and duration
- Width and height
- Download status and progress information
- Local URI/path reference
- Error information
- Timestamps and related metadata
7. Device and technical information
LINKEDROP may collect basic technical information required for the app to function, such as app version, device type, operating system version, and diagnostic information. LINKEDROP does not track your location, and does not collect your contacts.
8. Device permissions
LINKEDROP may request permissions needed to save downloaded media to your device. Depending on your operating system version, these may include access to photos/videos, access to audio/media, and storage or file access. Permissions are requested only for app functionality, and you can manage them in your device settings.
9. Advertising and Google AdMob
The Android version of LINKEDROP uses Google AdMob to display ads. The app may show an interstitial advertisement during the download flow, currently designed to show once per Android app session before downloading. iOS behavior may differ.
Google AdMob and other third-party advertising services may collect and process information according to their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing Google's privacy policy for details.

12. Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable law. When you delete your account, we delete associated account information, download history, and social connection records as described in Section 13.
13. Account deletion
You can delete your LINKEDROP account inside the app, or by requesting deletion through our Delete Account page. When your account is deleted, our backend is designed to delete:
- Your LINKEDROP user account record
- Associated download history
- Associated social connection records
We cannot guarantee that deletion instantly removes data from every third-party service or from backup systems, since those systems are outside our direct control.
14. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. You can exercise these rights by using the in-app account controls or by contacting us at our support email.
15. Children's privacy
LINKEDROP is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us.
16. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by LINKEDROP. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We do not make claims such as "military-grade encryption" unless such mechanisms are actually implemented and verified.
17. International processing
Depending on where you use LINKEDROP and where our infrastructure and service providers operate, your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take reasonable steps to ensure information is handled as described in this policy.
18. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of LINKEDROP after changes means you accept the updated policy.
