Downloading
LINKEDROP processes a supported media URL through our backend and returns the available formats. To download:
- Copy a media URL from a supported platform.
- Paste the URL into LINKEDROP and submit it.
- Choose a quality/format when the source supports it.
- Confirm the download — the file is saved to your device.
Not every URL is downloadable. Some sources may block access, change their format, or require authentication we cannot provide.
Supported platforms
Platform-specific downloads are currently available for:
- YouTube
Other platforms are not currently supported.
Permissions
LINKEDROP may request permissions needed to save downloaded media to your device. Depending on your OS version, this can include access to photos/videos, audio/media, and storage or file access. You can manage these permissions in your device settings.
Where files are saved
- Videos → Movies/LinkDrop
- Images → Pictures/LinkDrop
- Audio → Music/LinkDrop
- Other files → Downloads/LinkDrop
Exact folder availability may depend on your operating system and the permissions you grant.
Advertising
The Android version of LINKEDROP uses Google AdMob. An interstitial advertisement may appear during the download flow, currently designed to show once per Android app session before downloading. iOS behavior may differ.
Account and data
You can delete your LINKEDROP account at any time from inside the app, or by requesting deletion on the Delete Account page. See the Privacy Policy for details on what is deleted.
